Creative Brief

Background

The client for this project is Kenji Sawada, also known as Jewel Julie, a renowned Japanese singer who is preparing for a vocal concert at the prestigious Hollywood Bowl. My role as the graphic designer is to spearhead the promotion of this concert.

Through a thorough SWOT analysis, several key points have been identified. Sawada's strengths lie in his immense popularity across Asia, while his main weakness is his relative lack of recognition in the Western world. However, there are ample opportunities, particularly considering the global popularity of rock music. Nonetheless, the presence of numerous competitors within his genre poses a significant threat.

As a public figure, Sawada holds different positions of significance. He has a social responsibility to serve as a role model, spreading feelings of joy, love, and interest. Culturally, he aims to showcase his country's heritage while also embracing and incorporating elements from other cultures. Furthermore, he strives to contribute to technological advancements within the realm of music composition.

To facilitate the promotion of the vocal concert effectively, Sawada can provide various resources, including his music, concert recordings, and other works to elucidate his artistic requirements. Additionally, access to sales data from previous concerts and albums, as well as insights into his fanbase, will prove invaluable in crafting a targeted promotional strategy.

The objective of this project is to ensure the success of Kenji Sawada's upcoming concert by implementing a comprehensive promotional campaign. As the designated graphic designer, I am tasked with creating a range of advertisements, including posters, TV commercials, and flyers, along with developing peripheral products such as T-shirts, stickers, and phone cases. Leveraging social media platforms and harnessing the latest advancements in machine learning technology, I aim to target our audience with precision and efficiency.

The primary goal of this endeavor is to achieve a sold-out concert, maximizing ticket sales and enhancing audience engagement. Additionally, we seek to capitalize on the concert's momentum by driving sales of peripheral products to augment revenue streams. Furthermore, our aim is to generate significant buzz and influence surrounding the event, amplifying its impact within both the local and global music scenes.

Success in this project will be measured through tangible metrics, including ticket sales data and the volume of peripheral product sales. Additionally, the level of media coverage, along with the frequency and depth of discussions about the concert in various media outlets, will serve as indicators of our promotional efforts' effectiveness.
